Akosombo Delight

A slow, scenic day east of Accra, from the rock formations and baboons of the Shai Hills Resource Reserve to the view from Adomi Bridge and a calm cruise on the Volta River at Akosombo. There is nothing strenuous in it and the afternoon is deliberately unhurried, which makes it a favourite with couples, leisure travellers and groups who want a full day out of the city.
